Updates
What's new
Recent improvements to the deckbuilder. Newest changes first.
31 August 2026
Imports can now fill existing space
- A new "Fill existing space" option when importing: instead of making a new bin, you get a short dealing plan — "deal 14 cards into bin 31, next 22 into bin 44" — that tops up bins with room, in the order you'd walk your boxes.
- Keep your file in the same order as your physical stack and just deal off the top; each stop names the card that should be on top so a miscount is caught immediately.
- Nothing is saved until you confirm you've dealt them, and the plan can be downloaded to carry to the shelves.
- When your bins run out of room, the leftover cards get new bins named to continue your numbering automatically.

Inventory edits are instant now
- Changing a quantity or moving a card updates the page immediately — no more loading flash or the list jumping while everything re-downloads.
- Select several cards with the new checkboxes and move them to another bin in one go.
- Moving a card now confirms itself with a small note — and its View button takes you straight to the card in its new bin.
- If an edit fails, the message now appears on the row you touched instead of at the top of the page.
- Search results and the Sets panel quietly refresh themselves after you edit, so their numbers stay honest.
- Renaming or deleting a bin uses a proper dialog that shows what's inside before you commit.

Faster inventory edits: steppers, undo, smarter bin picker
- Every card row now has − and + buttons, so adding or pulling a single copy is one click instead of retyping the quantity.
- Removing a card (the × button, or stepping down to zero) now shows an Undo toast for a few seconds — accidental deletes are no longer permanent.
- The Move-to bin picker lists bins from the same box first and skips the bin the card is already in, so the right destination is at the top instead of buried under other boxes.
- Importing several CSVs in a row now picks up each file's name as the bin — previously only the first file's name was used.

Clearer builds: visible errors, smoother flow
- Build problems now tell you what happened and what to do — rate limits, cooldowns, security-check hiccups, and network errors all show a clear message under the Build button instead of silently stopping.
- Cancelling a build now says so, and finished decks scroll into view instead of hiding below the progress bar.
- Raising Beam width no longer permanently overwrites your Max decks setting — lower the beam and your value comes back.

Training data +150%, 60+ new archetypes
- Augmented the Commander training dataset by ~150%, which added 60+ archetypes (219 total) and tightened strategy alignment — builds stick closer to how each archetype is actually played.
- Deck Search index up 75%, including lists for the newest commanders.
- Combo database up 76%.

Better commander picks + more deck variety
- Builds now pick commanders whose abilities matter for the deck, not just ones in the right colors. You'll see fewer generic bodies leading specialized strategies.
- More archetypes show up in builds — Zombie tribal, Merfolk tribal, Rakdos sacrifice, and others that were previously squeezed out.
30 July 2026
Fulfillment history for your inventory
- Committing a fulfillment now saves it to a new Fulfillment history panel on your Inventory page, so the decks you exported (basics included) and the pick list you pulled are no longer lost when you start another build.
- Re-download any past deck as a text list, or the whole pick list as a CSV, straight from history.
30 July 2026
Auto-built decks match your collection better
- Building decks without a chosen commander now favors the strategies your collection supports best, and stops building around themes you own only a few cards for.
- Themed builds also pull in more of the cards that fit the strategy, so decks stay on-theme.
19 July 2026
Commander builds got smarter
- Commander decks now stay on theme: reanimator builds understand reanimation, lifegain builds understand lifegain, and archetypes across the board learned what actually defines them from tens of thousands of real decks.
- Obscure filler cards with hidden drawbacks no longer sneak into decks by looking like “ramp” or “card draw” — the builder now checks whether real Commander decks actually play a card before crediting it as a staple. Genuine staples like Sol Ring are unaffected.
- The result: auto-built Commander decks come out noticeably more on-theme.
17 July 2026
Sharper Legacy builds
- Legacy decks now pick more realistic cards — the builder's card judgment was retrained against real tournament lists, so its builds land closer to decks people actually play.
- 60-card decks full of playsets now get the complete card-swap optimization pass. Previously, tightly-tuned lists with few unique cards skipped it silently.
16 July 2026
Combo packages + a Commander color fix
- Legacy and Pauper builds can now assemble real combo packages — the builder recognizes when your collection holds the pieces of a known combo (think Painter's Servant + Grindstone) and swaps the whole package in when it makes the deck stronger.
- Fixed Commander builds sometimes ignoring your commander's colors: a two-color commander could come back leading a colorless artifact deck. Builds now stay on-color.
14 July 2026
Wider deck search + a cleaner set filter for Crew
- Crew can now widen the deck search: a new Beam width control under Advanced Parameters explores more candidate decks per build (a little slower, sometimes better results).
- The Crew set filter is easier to use — search your sets and add them as Include or Exclude tags instead of scrolling a wall of buttons.
13 July 2026
Set filtering for Crew
- Crew members can now build decks only from the sets they choose — or keep certain sets out of the pool entirely. Find it under Advanced Parameters on the build page.
- The build form now tells you when a filter can't change anything — like a language filter on an all-English collection — so you never wonder whether a setting is doing something.
13 July 2026
Mixed-language collections now build fully
- Pick any combination of languages for a build — or leave the new Languages filter empty to use every card you own. Previously only one language at a time made it into the pool.
- Foreign printings (German, Japanese, and more) are now recognized as their English equivalents everywhere: deck building, Deck Search completion, and picklists all count them toward your pool.
11 July 2026
Bigger deck library, smarter archetypes
- Deck Search now covers 125,000+ real decks across multiple formats — including Legacy, Pauper, Tiny Leaders, and Pauper Commander lists alongside Commander.
- The deck builder learned 80 new Commander strategies straight from real decks — tribal themes like Robots, Snakes, Cats, Frogs, Ninjas and Assassins, plus dozens of play patterns that never had a name before.
- Deck exports now include basic lands: the copy-missing list and CSV picklist state exactly how many Plains, Islands, Swamps, Mountains or Forests to add, so an exported deck is complete.
- Deck Search gains an “I own the commander” filter, and card previews load instantly from a faster image pipeline.
10 July 2026
Organize your collection your way
- Inventory bins now nest into a box / row / bin tree with collapsible sections, and moving or importing cards uses a searchable bin picker that can create new bins on the fly.
3 July 2026
Search real decks from your cards
- Browse a library of real Commander decks and instantly see which ones you can build from your collection — each with a completion percentage and an exact breakdown of the cards you're missing. Filter by commander, color identity, or must-include cards to narrow it down.
3 July 2026
Save and organize your collection
- Save your collection to the site and organize it into named bins or locations. Browse everything in a sortable pick list and build decks straight from your saved inventory — the builder tracks exactly which cards to pull from each bin.
29 June 2026
Decks that play like the real thing
- Auto-built decks in Commander, Brawl, and Pauper Commander now draw on the cards that real decks of your commander actually run — so your builds land more on-theme, especially for commanders that don’t fit a tidy archetype. You’ll see it reflected in a higher Synergy score.
28 June 2026
Honest deck synergy score
- The “Synergy” stat on each deck now reflects how much your deck overlaps with real decks of that commander (or format) — instead of always reading near 100%. It’s a truthful read on how on-theme a build actually is, and shows “—” when there isn’t enough real-deck data to judge.
25 June 2026
Smarter automatic deck suggestions
- Auto-built decks now span a wider, better-fitting range of strategies for your collection, instead of leaning on the same artifact deck regardless of what you own.
- Refreshed the card database to the latest set data, so newly-legal cards are available to the builder.
- Marvel's Super Heroes (MSH) cards are now recognized as legal in Commander — they show up as eligible commanders and deck cards where they should.
- Fixed double-faced “Battle” cards (e.g. Invasion of Fiora) incorrectly being offered as commanders.
